This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

In this June 22, 2018 conversation, Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Kristy Blanchard catch up on Sebastian, Ken Urker, media projects surrounding Gypsy's case, Nick Godejohn and several people who had been communicating with the family. Gypsy starts the call with an update about Sebastian, telling Kristy that he will not be going back. According to Gypsy, Sebastian had received a new probation officer and was going back into a treatment program he had previously left. Kristy says she's relieved and hopes the situation scared him enough to keep him from ending up back there. The two then discuss how difficult life can be for people who don't have a strong support system. The conversation then moves into a lengthy discussion about a woman Kristy knows who is apparently experiencing serious problems in her marriage and personal life. Kristy recounts troubling social-media posts involving possible self-harm, an ER visit and problems at home. Later, Gypsy and Kristy have a much lighter conversation about taking the Lord's name in vain. Kristy jokes that if she collected a dollar every time Francesca, Ken and other people said it, she could create a “Gypsy Fund.” Gypsy says she's even trying to break Ken of the habit. Kristy tells Gypsy that Jenner called her the previous day and says: “20/20 is letting Lifetime air the 20/20 episode.” Kristy says Jenner wants Gypsy to call her and touch base. She also tells Gypsy what she had already shared with Jenner, including that Gypsy had completed her class and that: “You and Ken were still doing good.” Kristy then says Nick came up during their conversation, although this recording doesn't provide much detail about exactly what was said about him.
