This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

June 14, 2018. Gypsy Rose Blanchard talks with Bryan Golden and gives one of her most detailed accounts yet of what happened during Ken Urker's recent three-day visit. Bryan is working on getting approved to visit Gypsy himself, and the two discuss his visitation paperwork and the possibility of him coming to see her around August. Gypsy also admits that when she had to choose who would receive her special visit, she chose Ken instead of Kristy and Rod so she could maximize the amount of time she spent with him. But then the conversation turns to why Gypsy and Ken were reported after their visit. Gypsy tells Bryan someone “snitched” and accused them of being disrespectful and “putting on a show.” When Bryan asks whether their behavior was actually that bad, Gypsy simply answers: “Yeah.” Gypsy then gives Bryan more details. According to Gypsy, Ken entered the visit promising he wouldn't try anything funny, but she says that within seconds he was leaning across the table, kissing and touching her when staff weren't looking. She says Ken later tried to grab her butt and touch her legs while they were taking pictures, and things became so chaotic that food and drinks were falling from the table. Bryan responds: “Sounds like a borderline conjugal visit.” Gypsy agrees: “It was definitely borderline.” Gypsy admits they got lucky this time and says there cannot be a next time. She says she needs to become firmer about maintaining an arm's-length distance from Ken during future visits. She also reveals that multiple people apparently witnessed their behavior and jokes that she's now developing quite the reputation. This call provides considerably more context about exactly what Gypsy says happened during the three-day visit and why someone eventually reported them.
