This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

In this April 19, 2018 call, Gypsy Rose Blanchard calls Kristy and immediately asks whether Ken has texted her back. But the conversation quickly turns to something we've been hearing about in the previous calls: the new prison photos of Gypsy and Ken. Kristy tells Gypsy the pictures finally arrived and says all three “came out so good” and are “adorable.” They discuss Ken being self-conscious about the scar on his face, although both say they can barely notice it in the pictures. Gypsy even suggests Photoshop could remove it if it bothered him. Gypsy confirms she sent copies of the pictures to several people, including Rachel and other friends. That conversation is especially interesting following the April 16 call, when Kristy told Gypsy she had declined someone's attempt to post a Gypsy and Ken picture in a group because Ken didn't want it getting into the “wrong hands.” Kristy also updates Gypsy on what's happening in the online groups. She says things have been relatively quiet because there hasn't been much new information. But she has posted something she and Sophie prepared regarding a documentary. Then Kristy reads Gypsy a message from Becky Dawson of Storyhouse Productions, who is trying to convince Kristy or Rod to participate in another program about Gypsy. Becky says having a family member speak on Gypsy's behalf would strengthen the show. Kristy says they're currently under contract with Francesca and tells Becky she doesn't know anyone else she could recommend to provide an accurate telling of Gypsy's story. Later, Gypsy talks about how many photographs Kristy has displayed around the house. Kristy describes multiple framed pictures of Gypsy, including older childhood photographs and newer prison pictures. Gypsy jokes that Kristy may eventually need a photo album because she plans on taking many more before she's released. One statement really stands out when they begin talking about future visits. Gypsy says: “That's the happiest moment that I'm in prison, it's those visits.” She also says Diana mailed her visitation form, meaning another person may soon be added to her approved visitors. Toward the end, Kristy mentions a woman named Amanda who frequently emails her and wants to communicate with Gypsy. Kristy says Amanda even offered to buy Gypsy a tablet, but Kristy explains that isn't necessary because the tablets are provided. And then we get one of the most random prison hacks yet: Gypsy's homemade Shamrock Shake.
