This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

In this June 17, 2018 conversation, Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Kristy Blanchard catch up on Father's Day, Gypsy's recent conversation with Brian, an unexpected person from Gypsy's past, and a major discovery within Kristy's family. Kristy tells Gypsy that she finally told her father about the brother she had recently discovered. She says she made sure her dad was sitting down before breaking the news. According to Kristy, her father worried there might be animosity, but Kristy reassured him and told him it was never too late. The timing was especially significant because Kristy was preparing to meet her brother in person the very next day. She says they planned to take pictures and record their first meeting, and that a photo of the three siblings would eventually be posted. Gypsy also shares a surprising encounter of her own. She says she recognized a woman she and Dee Dee had known years earlier while staying at the Hospitality House. The woman was now incarcerated at the same facility as Gypsy, making it an unexpected connection to her life before the case. Kristy also finally remembers the name of a woman she says used to babysit Gypsy and was friends with Dee Dee. Gypsy explains that she doesn't remember many of those people because they moved so frequently when she was young. And we get a small follow-up from the previous day's call: Kristy tells Gypsy that Brian said they had a good conversation.
