This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

June 7, 2018. After weeks of planning, secrecy and anticipation, Ken Urker is officially on his way to Missouri to see Gypsy Rose Blanchard. This upload contains two calls from June 7, 2018. In the first call, Gypsy reaches Ken while he's standing in line at the airport. Ken tells her his flight should land around midnight and that he plans to see her at 9:30 the following morning. They've been counting down to this visit for weeks, and now it's finally happening. In the second call, Gypsy talks with Kristy about a bloody fight that happened inside the prison, an assignment she's working on for class, family photographs and another update involving Robert. Gypsy asks whether Kristy contacted Robert after their previous conversation. Kristy says she texted him but received no response. This time, Gypsy tells Kristy she doesn't need to keep trying. Then the conversation returns to the biggest event of the week. “Tomorrow's the big visit.” Gypsy tells Kristy she just spoke with Ken while he was waiting at the airport. His flight is scheduled to arrive around midnight, but he still hasn't figured out where he's staying. Kristy even starts discussing possible hotels and ways he might find somewhere less expensive. After weeks of hearing Gypsy and Ken talk about this visit, we've finally reached the night before they see each other.
