This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

Gypsy and Ken revisit the doubts that had been raised about him after Gypsy's roommates began looking into his past. Ken asks Gypsy directly whether she believes him about the allegations she had heard. Gypsy tells him she believes him “100%,” explaining that the letter he received was written before they had fully talked everything through. But the conversation soon turns to a bigger question that Ken says he keeps hearing from everyone: What are his intentions with Gypsy? Ken says he is tired of people assuming there must be an ulterior motive, secret endgame, money, fame, or attention involved. According to Ken, the explanation is much simpler: “I just fell in love with somebody.” He even says his own mother questioned him about what he wanted with Gypsy. Ken tells Gypsy that she has become a huge part of his life, that he is planning to move to Kansas City, and that he cannot imagine her not being part of his future. The two also have an interesting conversation about what they consider cheating, including Ken describing cheating as secretly maintaining another relationship or “living a double life.” Toward the end, Gypsy reflects on the doubts she recently had because of everything her roommates were telling her. She calls it a “weak moment” and tells Ken he was her “rock” while she was questioning things. She admits that after being hurt by people she trusted, part of her still fears that something that seems good could be “too good to be true.” Gypsy ultimately says she needs to “trust my heart,” “trust myself,” and “trust you” and ignore what everyone else is saying. They also talk about Ken potentially meeting Rod and the rest of Gypsy's family, Gypsy's new haircut, their upcoming visit, family drama, and even the fact that Ken once walked out of Star Wars at a major scene just to answer one of Gypsy's calls. #GypsyRoseBlanchard #GypsyRose #KenUrker #PrisonCalls #PrisonPhoneCalls #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #TrueCrimeYouTube #GypsyAndKen #BlanchardCase #TrueCrimeDiscussion #TrueCrimeStory #FOIA #FOIARecords #AudaciousAudrey
