This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

The day after Gypsy confronted Ken about claims that he was secretly blogging about her and using their relationship for a story, the two have a much longer conversation about exactly what happened. Ken begins by telling Gypsy he isn't angry, but wishes she had called him immediately instead of spending several days worrying. Gypsy explains that she couldn't openly discuss it because the roommate who made the claims was nearby and could have overheard her. Gypsy then goes through the list of things her roommate allegedly claimed to have discovered about Ken, including supposed criminal-history information, his Facebook account, thousands of Facebook friends, a journalism connection and an alleged blog called something resembling “A Failure of Law by Lies.” She also says the roommate claimed Ken had posted drawings Gypsy sent him.
