This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

June 8, 2018. After weeks of counting down, Ken Urker and Gypsy Rose Blanchard's highly anticipated visit has finally happened. This recording contains two calls with Ken from the day of their visit. The first is just moments before Ken leaves his nearby hotel to see Gypsy. He tells her he's about 10 minutes away and is getting ready to head over. The second call happens after they have spent approximately eight hours together. Ken tells Gypsy he had an incredible time and says spending the day with her reminded him of all the reasons he loves her. He talks about how quickly eight hours passed and how comfortable they are simply being together, even when they aren't talking. But there's also a funny exchange about just how affectionate they apparently were during the visit. Gypsy tells Ken her lips are chapped. When Ken asks if it's his fault, Gypsy responds: “Yeah, that's totally your fault.” They're already excited about seeing each other again the following day, although Gypsy warns Ken that they need to behave because she doesn't want them getting kicked out. They also plan to wear matching Puppies for Parole shirts during their next visit. After weeks of calls about Ken moving, Gypsy's fears about their relationship, the secret special-visitation situation and the countdown to his arrival, we're finally hearing Gypsy and Ken immediately after spending their first full day together.
