This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

June 13, 2018. One day after Gypsy Rose Blanchard tells Ken Urker that someone reported their behavior during his visit, she finally tells Kristy what happened. The call begins on a much sadder note. Kristy tells Gypsy that the family had to put their dog Caesar down after discovering he was suffering from severe heartworm disease. Kristy also discusses a separate situation involving Mia before Gypsy finally changes the subject to what happened with her “future son-in-law.” Gypsy tells Kristy that someone “snitched” on her and Ken over their behavior during visitation. According to Gypsy, she managed to avoid further punishment. She says neither she nor Ken was suspended and describes what happened as a verbal reprimand. However, she says they're now going to be watched much more closely. Then Gypsy reveals another detail about her weekend with Ken. During the visit, Ken asked Gypsy whether her teeth were fake. Gypsy admits the question terrified her because her teeth were one of her biggest insecurities, especially when it came to dating. She tells Kristy that she ultimately admitted the truth and Ken reassured her that it didn't change how he felt about her. And then Gypsy adds: “And then we proceeded to make out.” Gypsy tells Kristy the experience made her feel like she'd finally found someone who accepted her completely. Kristy also shares a major development in her own family: she says she has finally located a half-brother she had never met. This call gives us even more insight into what happened during Gypsy and Ken's three-day visit, just as the consequences of their behavior are beginning to surface.
