This playlist documents an entire year of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's prison phone calls from 2018, organized chronologically so you can follow the conversations and events as they unfolded in real time. Throughout the year, you'll hear Gypsy's conversations with Kristy and Rod Blanchard, Ken Urker, family members, friends, supporters, and others in her life while she was incarcerated at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. These calls cover everything from ordinary day-to-day prison life and family updates to relationships, money, media coverage, documentaries, her criminal case, Dee Dee Blanchard, Nicholas Godejohn, future plans, and the public attention surrounding her story. Some calls are uneventful. Others contain details that become much more significant when viewed alongside later interviews, documentaries, public statements, and other records. Rather than focusing only on selected clips, this series is intended to preserve the larger context of the 2018 calls and allow viewers to hear how conversations, relationships, and stories developed throughout the year. The calls are presented chronologically, beginning in January 2018 and continuing through December 2018. Prison call recordings were obtained through a public-records request from the Missouri Department of Corrections and are being shared for commentary, documentation, research, and educational purposes.

On July 1, 2018, Gypsy Rose Blanchard calls Kristy Blanchard while Kristy is staying at her cousin's house in Lafayette ahead of a college visit. Gypsy says she spent most of her day relaxing and catching up on letters. She asks Kristy to let Brian Minasco know that she wrote him a letter and plans to send it out the following day. The conversation then takes an unexpected turn when Kristy tells Gypsy about a house fire. According to Kristy, Gypsy's brother and sister had been at a friend's house when people next door were attempting to remove bees by smoking them out. Instead, the house caught fire. Kristy says the house burned down and that the heat became intense enough to affect the vinyl siding of a neighboring home. She says statements had to be given to police, but indicates the people involved were okay. The conversation eventually turns to Mia and her plans for college. Kristy discusses Mia preparing for the ACT and traveling to visit a college. But later, Kristy brings up something that connects directly to Gypsy's recent conversations with Jenner Smith. Kristy says she watched the 20/20 episode again the previous night because she had only watched it once before. Why watch it again? Because according to their conversation, it's going to be airing again. Kristy says she doesn't know the exact date yet but believes it will be sometime around September. She says she already has the episode recorded, but many people in their group still haven't seen it. Gypsy says she was told she would be notified when the episode would air. This follows Gypsy's June 25 conversation with Jenner, where they discussed the possibility of the existing 20/20 program being re-aired and potentially including an update about Gypsy's life. Gypsy and Kristy also discuss the tablets expected at the facility. Gypsy says the infrastructure has already been installed and hopes the tablets will finally become available by the end of July. Near the end of the call, Gypsy asks Kristy to put her monthly money on her account. Gypsy also tells Kristy that she's been doing much better keeping her hygiene products stocked and keeping her locker locked. Nothing has gone missing since she started locking it.
