I'm 34 years old and I have no friends. Not one person I can pick up the phone and call right now just to talk. I know that because I stopped texting first — and nobody noticed. It didn't happen all at once. Some people just stopped responding. No fight, no reason — just gone. Friends I thought were close, people I'd known for years, suddenly unreachable. Others drifted when their lives changed — got married, had kids, disappeared into a completely different world. And some I realized were never really friends at all. They were just people who needed someone to sit with. Making friends as an adult is hard enough. But losing them without explanation is something else. It makes you question your own judgment, your own worth, and whether any of it was ever real. I think a lot of people are living this quietly and not saying a word about it. So I'm saying it.
