I protect my peace with solitude, and it's the best decision I've made. The world's louder and less friendly than it used to be. Protecting your peace isn't optional anymore, it's something you actively guard. For me, solitude's the way I do it — full control of my time, my money, my choices. No compromises, nobody to check in with. There's a real difference between choosing to be alone and being lonely, even though they can feel the same some days. Only one of them is actually dangerous.
