I'm not broke. I work. I pay my bills. But every year I feel a little poorer than the last. Groceries cost more and somehow feel worse. I buy cheaper food than I used to without even deciding to. Used cars are a joke. Everything is a subscription now. You just keep adjusting downward and calling it normal.
