Everyone has someone but me. I notice it everywhere now. The guy ahead of me in line texting someone back. Coworkers with their person waiting at home. Even at family stuff, everyone's got their built-in person and I'm just kind of there. It's not really about dating, or not only. It's that everyone seems to have somebody, a partner, a best friend, someone they call first. I don't have that right now and I feel it in the small moments more than the big ones. Grocery store, a slow Sunday, watching two people laugh about something only they'd get. I'm not bitter about it. Most days I'm fine.
