I got comfortable being alone and it scares me. Was with someone eight years, and I liked it. Somewhere in the time since, I got good at doing this on my own. The peace is real. Nobody ruining my day, nobody I have to talk out of a mood. But I still miss cooking dinner with somebody and laughing about nothing. What actually gets me is I can picture the bad version perfectly and I can't picture the good one at all anymore. And I'm not sure I know how to let someone in at this point.
