Currently Playing: 2015 Was The Last Good Year

2015 was the last good year. I don't know exactly how to explain it but life just felt different back then — lighter, more real, less exhausting. Something shifted after that and I don't think we ever got it back. People were still present. You could sit with someone and they were actually there, not half checked out scrolling through their phone. Conversations felt like conversations. You could disagree with somebody and still grab a beer after. That feels like a different world now. The internet turned into something else too. Social media used to be about connecting with people. Somewhere along the way it became about outrage, comparison, and picking sides. The algorithm figured out that anger keeps people scrolling, and that changed everything about how we interact with each other. I'm not saying life was perfect before 2015. But something was there that isn't anymore and I can't fully name it. I just know it's gone. And I don't think I'm the only one who feels that way. When do you think things started feeling different?
