On the 208th day, I arrived at the Go Bus Terminal in Cairo at exactly 2:30 a.m. I decided to wait at McDonald's until sunrise before looking for a cheap hostel to save money. I found a hostel for $2.5 in Giza (later discounted to $1/night because I was staying for more than a week). Therefore, from Cairo, in the middle of the night, I took a 3 EGP ($0.1) microbus to Giza. McDonald's ice cream cost 10 pounds ($0.33). I waited at McDonald's while charging my cell phone. Then, I was "kicked out" at 4 a.m. because the store was closing and would reopen at 7 a.m. I walked through the alleys of Giza, which looked dangerous. Some locals advised me not to walk there alone. Yet, during my morning walk, I received free bread from a baker who had just finished baking his bread. I continued walking around Giza after a good rest at the hostel. At a nearby Carrefour, I found Indomie, which only costs around 7 Pounds ($0.25). I returned to the hostel and enjoyed the $1 hostel with its adequate facilities. It had a bathroom, washing machine, and a kitchen for cooking my Indomie instant noodles. The Indomie here is locally manufactured in Egypt. It did not taste as good as the original Indonesian Indomie, but it's still very delicious for backpackers like me.
