In the afternoon of the 159th day I continued my journey from Naqsh-e Jahan to the Grand Bazaar which is behind its north gate. Beyond the gate with faded frescoes, there is a giant passageway housing the Grand Bazaar. I admired the goods for sale here and continued walking towards the MRT station to head to New Julfa on the south side of the Zayanderud River, the river of "Life" that has dried up. Towards evening, I visited Si-o-si-pol, the bridge also built by Abbas the Great to connect the two sides of the Zayanderud river that divides Isfahan.
