A doggy cried out. Nobody told Brum to move. Brum moved anyway. This is a Warhammer 40K-inspired Ogryn chain-gang work song about Brum — once a small Ogryn, later a battlefield rescuer, and now Subject Nine: an Ogryn enclosed inside an experimental orange armored battle chassis. The Mechanicus built Brum to become a weapon. He followed orders. He walked when told, lifted what they pointed at, and stopped when commanded. But the aggression they wanted never came. So Subject Nine was transferred to the Adeptus Arbites (Braelhay District), where his enormous mechanized body could still serve in breaching, crowd control, intimidation and heavy support. That is where Brum met the cyber-mastiffs. The doggies were terrified of the huge clanking machine. Brum only wanted to pet them. Then, during a patrol, a Purestrain Genestealer attacked. One of the doggies cried out. Nobody ordered Brum forward. Brum went anyway. Built around deep bass-baritone call-and-response vocals, chain-gang rhythm, blues-gospel phrasing, boot-stomp percussion and heavy industrial weight, this is the next chapter in Brum’s story — an Ogryn who may not understand very much, but understands perfectly well what to do when somebody smaller than him needs help.
