Life Is on My Side is a Papa Nurgle song and Warhammer 40K inspired heavy blues-rock track about one of the strangest truths of the Plague God: life really is on his side. Just perhaps not the kind of life you were hoping for. Everything changes. Everything decays. The fallen feed what comes next. Fungi spread, insects multiply, roots take hold, and the garden keeps growing. To Nurgle, death is not simply an ending. It is another beginning in an endless cycle of growth, decomposition and renewal. That is the idea behind Life Is on My Side. Papa Nurgle does not need to defeat life. He embraces it in every uncomfortable form it can take. What dies becomes food. What falls becomes soil. What was one thing becomes something new. The Garden grows because life never really stops changing hands. Musically, this takes that philosophy somewhere slightly different: swaggering heavy blues rock with classic-rock movement, thick bass, heavy guitars, a slow confident groove, a recurring whistle melody and deep rolling vocal harmonies. The surface can almost feel relaxed and enjoyable while something much darker sits underneath it.
