That philosophy is reflected in their preferred role as the spearpoint. The hand may command the spear, the arm may drive it and the shaft may carry its weight, but the point is what finds the weakness and makes the decisive strike. The Sons of Horus see themselves in much the same way: the force at the front that recognizes the moment when an enemy is vulnerable and acts before that opportunity disappears. The song therefore centers on the danger of hesitation. A breach closes. A shaken enemy regains his nerve. Odds change while cautious men continue calculating them.
