They survive by feeding upon extreme sensation, pain and emotion, so naturally somebody eventually decided that an ordinary synthesizer wasn't enough. Vael Vasspir has the Pleasure Engine. Part cathedral organ, part impossible alien synthesizer and part monument to excess, the Pleasure Engine exists for one purpose: More. This track is synth rock built around an obsessive keyboard hook, live drums, distorted guitars, brass, an increasingly excessive synth performance and the sort of production decision that probably makes perfect sense in Commorragh.
