He turns that voice upon the rigid, the obedient and the comfortably certain — those who mistake habit for wisdom, safety for permanence and the familiar road for truth. What follows is a ritual judgment upon those who refuse to change: contempt given prayer, arrogance given doctrine and domination given voice. Tzeentch is the Chaos God of change, ambition, sorcery, schemes and the endless transformation of what already exists. To his followers, certainty is weakness and permanence an illusion. What cannot adapt becomes predictable. What becomes predictable can be manipulated. What can be manipulated can be ruled. The song A God Named Tzeentch imagines a priest so certain of his own perception that he no longer believes he is merely speaking for his god. He believes Tzeentch speaks through him — condemning those who stand still, exposing those who believe themselves beyond manipulation, and claiming all that refuses to change beneath his dominion.
