BAD MAN. To the Imperium, Commissar Sebastian Yarrick is the Hero of Hades Hive, the Old Man of Armageddon and one of humanity’s most legendary defenders. To the Orks? Old Bale Eye. Da Bad Man. The humie boogeyman with the black coat, the burning red eye and an Ork power klaw where a perfectly ordinary human arm ought to be. During the wars for Armageddon, Yarrick became something very unusual: a human the Orks learned to fear, hate, admire and desperately want to fight again. He faced Ghazghkull Thraka across the battlefields of Armageddon, survived what should have killed him, and even claimed the power klaw of Warboss Ugulhard after their brutal fight. So naturally, the Boyz sing about him. They shiver when the red eye appears in the smoke. They warn the young Boyz about Old Bale Eye. They swear they’ll be the one to finally krump him. And secretly? They’d be terribly disappointed if somebody else got him first. Perhaps that is why Yarrick keeps coming back. There is even a thoroughly heretical theory that the Orks’ absolute belief in Old Bale Eye — that he is unstoppable, that his gaze kills, that the Bad Man simply does not stay dead — might somehow help the legend persist. Obviously nonsense. Probably. Ooooh... Bad luck. .
