Meet Torik: the Votann who single-handedly awoke the Necrons and ruined the entire universe of Warhammer 40K. No, not really. But he could have been. Torik has a gift. Some Kin find ore. Some find valuable claims. Some find ancient technology. Torik finds tombs. At this point his coworkers have stopped asking why every perfectly ordinary mining claim seems to develop green lights, buried doors and sleeping metal skeletons the moment Torik arrives. Instead, they have accepted the obvious solution: Send Torik in first. TOMBFINDER is a small, dry space-dwarf blues-rock song about workplace folklore, affectionate bullying, questionable mining decisions and one Kin who has somehow become extremely useful by being catastrophically good at finding Necrons. Nine tombs, according to Torik. Probably more, according to everyone who works with him. Another tomb. Another door. Put it back. We came for ore. A lighter break in the album: stripped-down acoustic workshop blues with a rough baritone, dry guitar, boot-stomp rhythm and the sort of song coworkers invent about you when you've made the same mistake often enough to earn a permanent nickname.
