What happens when one brain cell meets another? Well, one wants to scream BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, and the other wants to scream ’ERE WE GO! So naturally, they scream both. This is what happens when Orks decide Khorne could be fun to follow for a while. And, strangely enough, there is actually some old-school Warhammer 40K lore behind the idea. Chaos-worshipping Orks are extremely unusual, but they have existed in the setting. Older Ork lore specifically includes Freebooter bands devoted to Khorne, as well as Khorne-worshipping Stormboyz. It even makes a certain amount of Orky sense. Stormboyz are already considered strange by other Orks because of their fascination with discipline, drilling, obedience and organised violence. Push that obsession far enough, add an unhealthy appreciation for bloodshed, and Khorne is not exactly the most difficult Chaos God for an Ork to understand. The problem is that most Orks already have Gork and Mork and aren't particularly interested in somebody else's gods. Orks who go too far outside normal Ork kultur can find themselves shunned or separated from their tribe, which makes Freebooter life a fairly natural destination for the really unusual ones. So this is not meant to suggest that Khorne Orks are normal. This is one particularly enthusiastic green idiot discovering a god whose entire sales pitch appears to be fighting, rage, blood and more fighting.
