Till Death Itself Kneels is a gothic symphonic operetta told primarily from Isabella von Carstein’s perspective, with Vlad entering as the answering force beside her. This is Isabella’s declaration of an immortal covenant between two rulers who will never reduce one another to servant or possession. She offers Vlad her command of courts, bloodlines, secrets and treachery. In return, she desires his counsel, his armies and the terrible strength required to make their shared will permanent. She knows Vlad will never ask her to become smaller for his sake. He does not want a silent consort kneeling beside his throne. He recognizes the sovereign will within her and gives it room to remain dangerous, unrestrained and entirely her own. Their bond is not a mortal marriage built on obedience. It is a blood-bound accord between equals: her insight guiding his conquest, his legions giving force to her designs, and both refusing any eternity that does not contain the other. Musically, this combines gothic orchestra, dark symphonic metal and theatrical operetta. Forceful female operatic vocals lead the story, answered by a deep male baritone, pipe organ, cimbalom, low brass, field drums, choir, strings and heavy guitars.
