Breath, blood, hope and everything born beneath its law are called forth, condemned and cursed. What follows is a ritual sentence against existence itself — hatred given prayer, judgment and voice. Malice is the mysterious deity worshipped by the Sons of Malice, who know him as the Renegade God. He is associated with anarchy, terror and hatred; his followers revel in hatred and believe fate is kind to those who hate. The number eleven also holds particular significance in rites and sacrifices connected to him. The song A God Named Malice imagines hatred carried beyond any single enemy: a priestess speaking before her god, calling Life itself to judgment and pronouncing its ending.
