This is going to sound strange, but I am often "bored" when I'm teaching. By being "bored" - it doesn't mean I am not enjoying what I am doing, nor feeling the purpose of what I am teaching, but the challenge is no longer there - there is no survival stress or thrill. This. Is. Good. It shows you are masterful at what you are doing. Of course we humans must seek out new territory and continue to challenge ourselves, but sometimes that doesn't mean we do that in our profession... Being able to offer a solid teaching, service, or offering that is tried, tested, and true often comes with this 'boredom.' This is not necessarily a sign to give up.
