Early next week I'll be sharing a new interview that dives into the medicalization of birth and some myths (ten to be exact) that tend to linger around the birth of our fellow humans. This is a tiny snippet from my talk with SmartBody SmartMind (SBSM) alumni Kait (@nightanddaybirth on IG), speaking about one of those myths: "Birth is a dangerous medical event." This will be my second talk with Kait. Our first talk that aired December 2025, we spoke about the tremendous levels of postpartum depression and complex PTSD she experienced (and also healed!) after the birth of her first son, and after moving through the SBSM curriculum. Since this time, she's birth another son (without any troubles, depression, or PTSD), and is now expecting her third!
