Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We begin this episode by preparing the fields for the next production cycle. One hired worker is assigned to mulch the fields, breaking down crop residues, while another worker follows behind applying granular fertilizer to the fields that have already been mulched. This ensures the soil is properly prepared for future planting. While field preparation continues, we shift to farm logistics. Pallets of fish feed are loaded and transported to the fish hatchery to maintain the aquaculture production chain. From there, we head to the ponds, load pallets with freshly caught fish, and deliver them to the point of sale, generating immediate revenue. The income is reinvested into farm expansion by purchasing a new corn field that has reached the wax stage of ripeness. With the new land secured, the focus turns to supplying raw materials for the composting plant. To achieve this, we deploy the self-propelled baler. A mower is purchased and mounted on the front hitch, while a second tractor equipped with a bale stacker supports the operation. We begin by mowing and baling grass on our fields, producing grass bales that are delivered directly to the compost plant’s receiving hopper. Once unloaded, they immediately start the process of producing grass compost. After completing the grass work on two fields, the equipment is relocated to the newly purchased corn field. The front mower on the baler is replaced with a corn header, allowing us to mow the corn and bale the chopped material. The chaff bales are transported to the composting plant as well. As the operation progresses and raw material supply increases, we adjust the strategy. A third tractor equipped with a bale wrapper is added to the workflow. Now the chaff bales are wrapped in plastic film, converting them into silage while continuing to supply the compost production chain.
