Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We begin this episode in the onion field, finishing the final stage of the harvest. The onions that were previously dug and placed into rows are now collected with a combine harvester. The crop is loaded into truck trailers and transported directly to the canning factory, keeping the vegetable processing line supplied with fresh raw materials. After the last loads are delivered, the combine returns to the yard while the final trailer of onions is taken to the factory for processing. With onion harvesting completed, logistics becomes the next priority. The truck trailers are replaced with a platform so we can load pallets of finished canned products. These pallets are transported to the point of sale, converting processed vegetables into immediate income. Once sales are finished, field work resumes. We switch to a self-propelled mower to begin the first stage of the next harvest cycle—mowing crops into swaths. Several soybean fields and one wheat field are already ripe, and to expand production further we invest in additional wheat fields ready for harvest. The mower moves from field to field until all wheat crops are cut and prepared for threshing. A hired worker is then assigned to mow the soybean field into swaths as well. While harvesting preparation continues, attention shifts back to farm logistics. A large amount of milk has accumulated at the cowshed, so we purchase a tanker trailer and transport the milk to a newly built dairy. This allows the milk to be processed and integrated into the farm’s growing production network. Another major step toward expanding processing capacity is the construction of a mill that will produce traditional flour for fish feed production. The land for the construction site has already been purchased, so we begin delivering building materials.
