Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We begin by finishing the haymaking operation started in the previous episode. A self-propelled baler equipped with a front rake returns to the meadow where the grass had been mowed and spread for drying. Working together with a tractor fitted with a bale loader, we rake, bale, and stack the finished hay directly in the field. Once the bales are ready, a flatbed trailer is attached to the truck, and we transport the hay to the balanced feed production plant. This secures the raw materials needed to keep livestock feed production running efficiently. With hay operations complete, we shift back to grain harvesting. The day before, we prepared multiple fields for separate harvesting by mowing crops into swaths. Most of the fields contain wheat, but there is also a canola field ready for threshing. We move the combine harvester and support equipment to the first wheat field and begin the second harvesting phase. Grain is loaded into truck trailers and transported directly to the mill, where the first batch is processed immediately. After completing the wheat field, we continue to the neighboring canola field and thresh the crop there as well. The harvested canola is delivered to the grain warehouse, and part of it is redirected into fish feed production. The operation continues across several additional wheat fields, with grain constantly transported to storage and processing facilities.
