Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. The new sawmill is already producing output, and we begin by loading pallets of lumber and boards for delivery to the construction site where the mill is being rebuilt. This closes the loop between forestry and construction, reducing reliance on external materials. To strengthen cash flow, we also sell several trailer loads of compost before shifting fully into harvesting operations. Fieldwork resumes with a coordinated separate harvesting setup. The combine harvester is sent to the field where soybeans were previously mowed into swaths. At the same time, a hired worker operates a mower on a wheat field, cutting it into swaths in parallel. Soybeans are a critical input for fish feed production, and the line has been idle due to shortages, so restoring supply becomes a priority. After completing soybean threshing, we immediately transition to wheat. The combine moves to the wheat field where mowing is already finished, and threshing begins without delay. Meanwhile, the hired worker continues mowing additional wheat fields to maintain a continuous workflow. The harvested wheat is transported to the storage facility, and part of it is redirected to the on-site mill near the estate for flour production. This supports internal production chains and adds value to the raw grain.
