Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. With the harvest complete, we begin by returning all machinery to the new equipment yard and preparing for the next production cycle. One of the biggest milestones today is finally launching our industrial fish feed production line. We load pallets of oil and flour onto a flatbed truck, while soybeans are transported from storage using a second truck. Once all the ingredients arrive, production begins, bringing another major processing chain online. While the factories get to work, attention turns back to the fields. The first stage of post-harvest preparation is mulching. To increase efficiency, we operate two mulchers at the same time. One tractor is assigned to a hired worker, while we purchase a second mulcher and handle another field ourselves. Before mulching can continue, the remaining straw bales must be removed from the fields. Once the bales are cleared, fertilization begins. A self-propelled slurry spreader is sent to one field, while a hired worker operates a manure spreader on another. Thanks to our livestock operations, the farm now produces multiple types of natural fertilizer, allowing us to improve soil fertility without relying entirely on purchased inputs. With the fields mulched and fertilized, we skip cultivation altogether. Our modern direct-seeding drill allows us to plant directly into the prepared ground. After loading seeds and granular fertilizer, we head to the field and begin sowing barley, starting the next crop cycle immediately.
