Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We begin by sending a hired worker to mow wheat into swaths in one of the ripe fields, preparing it for the next stage of separate harvesting. While fieldwork continues in the background, we focus on logistics and production support across the farm. Wooden beams are loaded at the sawmill and delivered to our active construction projects, including the mill and castle restoration sites. We also experiment with a small trading operation by visiting a distant coal mine and purchasing several dozen pallets of coal for resale. The profit margin is small, but it proves to be another useful emergency income source when the budget becomes tight. Next, we continue managing livestock and food production. Meat from the processing plant is sold, milk is transported from the barn for processing, and while feeding the cows we discover a major issue—balanced feed production has stalled due to a shortage of hay. This immediately shifts our priorities toward haymaking. A tractor equipped with both a mower and tedder heads to the first grass field, mowing and spreading the grass for drying in a single pass. A hired worker is then assigned to continue mowing the second field while we organize the baling operation. Using a self-propelled baler equipped with a front rake, we rake and bale the dried hay, while a second tractor with a bale collector follows behind, gathering the finished bales. The first loads are delivered directly to the balanced feed production facility, restarting feed production for the livestock operation.
