Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We continue the potato harvest in the field, running a steady harvesting cycle. As the harvester fills with potatoes, the crop is unloaded into a transfer trailer and then into high-capacity truck trailers. Once full, the truck head to the canning factory, where the potatoes are delivered directly into the processing hopper. This loop repeats until the entire field is cleared and the final load is processed. With the harvest complete, the equipment is returned to the yard. The potato harvester is loaded onto a flatbed trailer and transported back, while we prepare for the next operations. Fieldwork immediately continues on multiple fronts. A self-propelled mower is sent to the barley field, where a hired worker begins mowing the crop into swaths. At the same time, we take control of the combine harvester equipped with a suitable header and move into the sunflower field to begin harvesting. To maintain efficiency, we switch between operations—coordinating the hired worker mowing additional fields, including soybean, while continuing sunflower harvesting ourselves. Sunflower seeds are a critical resource for fish feed production, making this harvest essential for keeping the production chain running.
