Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We pick up after completing the sunflower harvest and move into sorting and routing grain across multiple production lines. Sunflowers are split between storage and processing, with a portion directed into the fish feed production line alongside canola and wheat. At the same time, wheat is delivered to the mill for flour production, while finished fish feed is transported to the fish hatchery to keep aquaculture running at full capacity. To handle growing volumes, we expand infrastructure by building an additional grain storage facility. We also construct a small heating plant to process and sell wood chips in pallet form, adding another income stream to the farm. With logistics stabilized, we return to fieldwork. A swath pick-up header is loaded and transported to the barley field, where the combine harvester is already positioned. We begin the second stage of separate harvesting, threshing barley that was cut into swaths the previous day. Once completed, the operation moves seamlessly to soybean fields and then to oats, maintaining a continuous harvesting workflow. Soybeans and oats are critical inputs for fish feed production, reinforcing the importance of this harvest cycle. The harvested barley is delivered to the mill, further supporting internal processing chains. Alongside farming operations, construction logistics continue.
