Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We begin the day by finishing field fertilization with manure before sending hired workers to prepare the soil using plows and cultivators. While the workers continue field preparation, we move on to planting red beets. Two fields have been selected for beet production, and we plan to use ridge-planting technology to maximize efficiency. To do this, we purchase a special ridge-forming cultivator and transport it to the field. However, upon arrival, we discover a problem: the field has not yet been cultivated, which means the ridge former cannot operate properly. Instead of waiting, we develop a solution. We return to the dealership and purchase a front-mounted cultivator with the same working width as the ridge former. After mounting the cultivator on the front and the ridge former on the rear of the tractor, we are able to cultivate the soil and create planting ridges in a single pass. With the fields prepared, we purchase a specialized root crop planter and begin sowing red beets. A hired worker takes over the planting operation while we focus on the next crop. Several nearby fields are already prepared for onions, but our tractor is occupied planting beets. Rather than interrupting the operation, we decide to invest in another tractor better suited for vegetable production. To finance the purchase, we make a short logistics run, selling meat from our meat processing plant and flour from our mill. With the additional income secured, we purchase the new tractor, attach an onion planter, and send a hired worker to begin sowing onions.
