Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We begin by preparing equipment and moving it to the canola field for harvesting. At the same time, one of our tractors is equipped with a plow and sent—via a hired worker—to the neighboring field where red beets were harvested, starting soil preparation for the next crop cycle. While plowing continues in parallel, we set up the combine harvester and begin threshing canola. The harvested seeds are transferred into truck trailers, building up a large volume. By the end of the harvest, we collect around 100,000 liters in truck trailers and over 20,000 liters in the transfer trailer. A portion of the crop is immediately directed to our internal production facility to support fish feed manufacturing, while the rest is stored at the new property we recently acquired. However, a closer inspection of the newly purchased farm reveals a major limitation—the barn is not equipped with milking systems and cannot produce milk. This triggers a full livestock infrastructure upgrade We head to the dealership and purchase a truck with an animal transport trailer. One by one, we relocate the cows—up to 36 per trip—to a temporary holding area near the main yard. Once the old barn is emptied, it is dismantled to make room for a new, modern facility. Construction begins on a high-capacity barn designed to hold up to 500 cows and equipped with a full milking system. After completion, all dairy cows are relocated to the new barn, including those from the original farm where they had been grazing. To complete the transition, we deliver balanced feed, straw, and water to the new facility.
