Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We begin the day by feeding the cows and sheep before sending a hired worker to the onion field. His task is to dig up the onions and place them into clean rows, preparing the crop for the next harvesting stage. While the onion operation progresses, we focus on clearing the remaining straw from the fields. A front rake is attached to the self-propelled baler, while a second tractor is equipped with a bale stacker. Together, the machines move from field to field, collecting and baling leftover straw after harvest. Once the straw operation is complete, the finished bales are loaded onto a flatbed truck and transported to the balanced feed production plant, where they will be used as part of the livestock feed chain. By this time, the hired worker has nearly finished digging the onions, leaving long, organized rows across the field. We then prepare the combine harvester for onion collection by reconfiguring the harvesting system specifically for root crop pickup. Supported by a tractor with a trailer loader, we move into the field and begin gathering the onions. As harvesting continues, a truck arrives to receive the crop. The harvested onions are transferred into the truck trailers and transported directly to the vegetable processing plant, where production continues without interruption.
