Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. We continue the onion operation by collecting the rows that were dug up in the previous episode and transporting them to the canning factory for processing. Once all onions are gathered, the equipment returns to the yard, and a hired worker is assigned to mulch the remaining plant debris, preparing the fields for the next cycle. With fieldwork temporarily complete, we shift into full logistics mode. Multiple production chains generate finished goods that need to be sold. Flour from our own mill is delivered first, followed by pallets of fish, which currently represent the farm’s highest income source. We also transport clothing from the tailor shop and lumber from the sawmill, maximizing revenue across all active production lines. Not everything goes smoothly. During a rainstorm, while transporting boards to the point of sale, control is lost and the loaded platform trailer overturns. A telescopic loader is brought in to recover the cargo and restore operations, adding an unexpected challenge to the day. After securing profits, we reinvest by purchasing several new fields. Once the rain stops, we return to fieldwork and begin a new operation—potato harvesting. Equipment is prepared and transported to the field, including a potato harvester, a tractor with a trailer-overloader for handling the crop. As harvesting begins and transport demand increases, we decide to expand logistics capacity by purchasing an additional truck and bringing it directly to the field.
