Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. Today we start by sending a hired worker to plant onions while we continue reorganizing the farm and creating larger, more efficient fields. First, we remove the fence separating the fields we want to combine. Then we plow through the old boundary and leave a hired worker to finish plowing the newly connected area. With that job underway, we move to another group of fields and repeat the same process — removing the barriers, breaking up the old boundaries, and turning several smaller fields into larger ones. Meanwhile, it’s finally time to put our new high-horsepower tractors to serious work. They have been temporarily parked near the dealership, and for one of them we purchase a massive 27.6-meter planter. We bring this huge machine to our newly created mega field and begin planting soybeans. With such an enormous working width, we can cover a huge amount of ground with every pass. While planting, we also have to manage the other hired workers across the farm. We purchase a new cultivator for our second powerful tractor and send it out to prepare another field. By the time the soybean planting is complete, one of our workers has finished plowing another group of fields that we combined earlier. So we move the new 27.6-meter planter there and immediately put it back to work — this time planting sunflowers.
