A trashed dresser that was headed to the landfill now has a new life! Timing was on my side. When free things pop up, you have to just about be in your truck when you see it. Well, I saw it and was first to respond and it was about 2 miles from my house, score! On early inspection, I see that this must have been a utility or garage dresser. It had also been previously refinished. Don’t worry, help is on the way! I cleaned and cleaned, sanded, and stripped the legs down to bare wood. Into the spray tent for primer and a custom (OSD102) color. Then multiple layers of topcoat. The hardware was chipping and rusting, so I sanded that smooth and applied a fresh coat of metallic gold paint as well as topcoat. All nine drawers were treated with wood conditioner and fully lined in a beautiful watercolor floral print.
