What started as a plain, traditional pine dresser has been completely transformed into a one-of-a-kind showpiece! This 5-drawer dresser came to me from Facebook Marketplace, and while it had good bones, it definitely needed some love (and a little creativity) to bring it back to life. The first step in the makeover was reshaping the base. The dresser originally had little swirls that I didn't care for, but I cut those off to create a clean, modern arch. Not only did this update the look, but it also helped cover up some of the damage—like chew marks from a dog—that the dresser had picked up along the way. From there, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work prepping the piece: cleaning, sanding, and filling so I would have a perfectly smooth surface. Once everything was ready, it was time for primer in the spray tent, followed by a custom green paint color that I mixed myself. This bold, rich shade was the perfect choice to give the dresser new life and make it stand out. After carefully touching up drawer edges between coats, I finished it off with multiple layers of durable topcoat to protect the finish. The final touch was adding beautiful new gold hardware, which elevated the whole look and gave the piece a modern, sophisticated feel. Now this once-boring pine dresser has been completely modernized into a gorgeous showpiece that would make a statement in any room.
