From Old and Tired to Chic! I picked up these nightstands at an estate sale. They were an interesting design, but had failing finish and sat very low to the ground. Being that they are so large, I really felt they needed some height. So, I removed the existing base, added a 2 inch base around the perimeter to reinforce everything for new legs. After adding the hanger bolts to the legs and getting the T-nuts recessed into the base, these were ready for primer, paint and topcoat. For the finishing touch, I gave the hardware a refresh finish by cleaning them in a vinegar bath and scrubbing with bar keepers friend. Now, these nightstands are looking classy, smooth, and totally refreshed! What do you think of the transformation?
