Over the years, we'd accumulated different fan brands with different coloured blades. Most were dark, which made dust and dirt surprisingly difficult to see. Our team standardized every fan by painting the blades bright yellow. Now contamination creates an obvious visual contrast, making it much easier to see when a fan needs attention. This isn't really about yellow paint. It's about designing the workplace so that abnormalities are obvious.
