When inspecting some of our nets, we lay every component onto a full-size template to confirm that everything is present and the correct size. The problem was that some parts extended beyond the inspection table, causing the flexible template to hang over the edge. Operators had to manually hold it up while checking those parts. It worked, but it wasn't a very stable or repeatable inspection method. Our team added a simple fold-up extension to the table. When needed, we raise it and lock it into position so the entire template is fully supported.
