Hey folks, whenever we needed to clean behind one of our laser cutters, the operator had to open an access door that didn't have a good place to grab. He would struggle to pull it open, reach underneath it, or sometimes even resort to using his foot. It wasn't a major problem, but it was a completely unnecessary frustration. Our solution cost about 50 cents. We simply added a handle. Now the operator unlocks the door, grabs the handle, and opens it easily every time. Not every lean improvement needs to produce a massive time saving. Removing small frustrations and making someone's job easier has value too.
