We've been homesteading off grid for more than 12 years, and in that time we've ran off solar power, generators, and power packs. We are ready to invest in something more reliable and substantial this time, a diesel generator. Bought new, these can be pretty pricey- but we got our hands on a older one that was used to power a cell tower. It was taken out of the bush by helicopter, and now its sitting on the homestead. We take you all along for the 6 hr one way ride to town to pick her up, and talk about our future plans for using this on the homestead!
